Love Beads? Then You'll Love Beadhuddle.com

Are you nuts about beading? Then here's a site you need to visit: www.BeadHuddle.com

BeadHuddle.com is not just a beading forum, or a beading directory, or a site where you can watch "how to" do beading videos, or a place where you chat live with dozens of other beading enthusiasts, or an online beading community, or an online beading gallery, or a site where you can find great articles about beading … it's all of this and more!

BeadHuddle.com is an exclusive social networking site for beading enthusiasts. It's kind of like a myspace.com for people who love beading.

It was founded by a small home-based online publishing company that put out an e-book about beading, "The Complete Bead Guide" in 2005. The ebook publishers ran a survey amongst its customers and discovered that, despite the fact that most survey respondents were not highly experienced computer users, most expressed a great desire to participate in an online community where they could communicate with other beading enthusiasts and share their passion and knowledge of beading.

BeadHuddle.com members can set up their own profile pages, post photos of their latest beading creations and designs, upload and share "how to bead" videos, chat online, write articles and blogs about beading and beadworking, ask questions, share tips and participate in forum discussions and polls, post comments and rate other member's contributions, take part in quizzes, post events and announcements about beading fairs, markets and shows in their local area, instant message other members and so much more. Members even have an opportunity to run classified ads and buy and sell items using e-bay style auctions that are displayed throughout the entire web site.

Here's an example of a "how to bead" video you can watch at BeadHuddle.com:

Although the site is fairly new, the word is already spreading among avid beaders. Given the fact that most of its members are not advanced internet users, the developers were careful to ensure that the site is easy to navigate and explore. As members share their own experiences and add their knowledge of beading to the site, BeadHuddle.com is tipped to become the "must-go-to" destination for the online beading community.

Apart from being free to join, one of the nicest things about BeadHuddle.com is that it is a perfect complement for anything related to beading. It is an ideal site not only for beaders and beading enthusiasts to meet online, but also a site where beading-related businesses (such as beading suppliers, beading wholesalers, beading and jewelry designers, etc …) can set up their own profile and increase their visibility online amongst purchasers of beads and beading accessories.

Beadworkers spend hundreds of dollars each year buying beads, beading accessories and beading supplies from online retailers. A targeted social networking site like BeadHuddle.com allows beading-related businesses to go beyond the traditional online model of setting up a web store and attracting customers to what is often not much more than an e-commerce powered online catalog of items for sale. By becoming a member of BeadHuddle.com, businesses can participate in and contribute to the online beading community through activities like running workshops using online videos, chatting with their prospective customers via live chatrooms, answering questions and sharing tips in forums, and publishing articles through blogs just to name a few, thus building greater trust online with their existing and potential new customers.

BeadHuddle.com does offer a reasonably low-priced "Professional Membership" option for beading-related businesses which includes several valuable features and benefits such as the ability to create multiple listings in their search engine optimized business directory, a dedicated "subforum" within the site's main forum that serves as a "help desk" and as a point of contact for dealing with customer enquiries, and other benefits which I am sure members who are business owners (or even crafters who sell their own beading creations) will find to be very useful when promoting their businesses and products online.

At the time of writing this review, BeadHuddle.com is offering for a very limited time only to everyone who joins, a FREE upgrade to their paid "Gold" Membership level, as well as free auction listings until the end of the year. For business owners or those who do beading for profit, there are also some really great little launch surprises to be discovered, but I won't give these away here. If you own a crafts or beading-related business, just be sure to click on the "Professional Membership" link in the bottom menu when you visit the site!

In summary, if you love to bead, BeadHuddle.com is definitely a site you will want to join and visit on a regular basis (did I mention it's free to join?). A word of warning though … if you are as crazy about beading as I know most of my friends are, you will probably end up spending a lot more time than you should hanging out at BeadHuddle.com and mingling with other beadheads. There are so many things to do and ways to meet and share there, that it could become deliriously addictive. You have been warned!

How to Score Yourself Some Free Sewing Patterns

Sewing patterns come in a wide range of different types nowadays. From vintage patterns to plus size sewing patterns and anything in between, you can bet that a simple search for what you’re looking for will yield plenty of results. But if you’re looking for free sewing patterns, it might seem almost impossible. Even finding results for websites claiming to offer free sewing patterns end up in a chain of “offers” you have to accept before receiving your “free” item or in the end results in nothing but crap.

Believe it or not, there are certainly ways to score some free sewing patterns. It is all going to depend on how much effort you want to put into your search. While some searches will take longer than others, here are some quick ideas to finding those free sewing patterns.

Online

Simply put, finding real free sewing patterns online can be a pain in the butt. But if you know where to look, you can score some good stuff. Consider lurking through sewing forums, where people get together from all over to share tips, tricks and yes even free sewing patterns. Most patterns found this way are patterns made by the person offering them, so you may or may not find what you’re looking for.

In Person

Many times when visiting local sewing stores, you can score free sample sewing patterns. These are great for those with an imagination that can expand on the free samples, in order to create a complete custom pattern. You may even find seasonal free sewing patterns when local stores are offering specials. The best way to keep track of these deals is to sign up with the stores’ newsletters and to check with them often.

And Yet Another Option…

Creating your own sewing patterns isn’t only free, but it’s fun and rewarding. Furthermore, you can even make some extra money selling your creations! The thought may seem overwhelming, but even if you have to invest in a how-to” guide, it’s a one time investment that keeps on giving. However chances are that if you’re experienced in sewing, you have an idea of what makes a sewing pattern work.

With a little patience and some practice, you’d be well on your way to creating your own free, custom sewing patterns that can’t be found anywhere else. Being able to create a gift from literally scratch is something most people could never even imagine doing, so this option is probably the easiest and most beneficial way to score free sewing patterns yet.

Arts And Crafts For Christmas

Christmas is a time of joy and giving , well at least it should be for most people, but with everything there are those who will be out to spoil the fun.

It those horribly people who seem to take great pleasure in sending viruses to peoples computers knowing the damage they can do.

Unfortunately the humble e-card has been has been targeted as the ultimate delivery method for spreading viruses and I would not be at all surprised if we see an increase in this form of activity in the run up to Christmas.

The problem is of course that some people like to see this as an excellent way of sending a card that is a little different from the norm. On top of that it is also convenient. And lets face it everybody likes to receive a card so quite often as soon as it is received by e-mail the recipient will happily click on a link to receive his card without any second thoughts and of course once that happens it just to late.

If you want to do something a little different this year why not try printable Christmas cards instead.

If you don’t want to make your own printable cards, don’t worry. There are many out there online you can find that might be just perfect. You just have to download and print them out.

You can print them on regular paper if you don’t have card stock (which is pretty easy to find and can be used in most printers). Printable cards can be blank with just a picture on the front so that you can enter your own typed message, or you can write something on it once you have it printed out.

It’s totally up to you. If you have kids, they can write their own name, add stickers, or even use rubber stamps to make the cards extra special. The kids just love these types of Christmas crafts so don't be too surprised if they ask you to find some more.

Very simple…fill her cute little dollhouse with Dollhouse Miniatures. I’m sure she would love it. She will say you are the best mom in the world. When it comes to miniature dollhouse furniture, you have plenty of options before you. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. You can choose them according to your dollhouse theme. Miniature furniture is made using several materials such as wood . Wooden toys are safer when compared to plastic or metal. However, they are slightly costlier than the rest of the materials used in dollhouse and miniatures supplies.

There are lots of do-it-yourself dollhouse furniture kits available. You may even get your hands on any of them if you do not wish to buy the miniature furniture. The option is yours. Some prefer doing it all by themselves while some prefer getting readymade dollhouse furniture. I knew people who have take creating miniature dollhouse and furniture as their favorite pastime.

You may either buy or do it all by yourself. However, the top requirement for buidling Miniatures is the space that is available for this project. Choosing the wrong size will definitely ruin the look of your playhouse. Next would be cost. Think twice before investing your money on miniature furniture that is costly. Cost is not always a good measure of quality. Pay some attention, do research and then decide if price or quality are more important to you.

Things to consider other than space and cost when buying dollhouse furniture are:

a) Check for the material that is used to create the furniture.

b) See if there are any deals or discounts available. This way you can save some money.

c) Choose furniture in such a way that they are mobile. This way you can move it to a different location if the need be.

d) Check if there are no damages to the furniture. You pay and therefore deserve the best.

Custom made dollhouse furniture is available. As how you have separate rooms in your home that are used for specific purposes, dollhouse furniture too comes in various models. If you are going to get one for your bedroom, go for miniature furniture like lamps, books, etc.

Just that you got the required information about dollhouse furniture, start right away and make your kid happy with the dollhouse of his interest.

Top Five Ideas For Nesting Dolls

By now, most people have studied Russian dolls and their beginnings and how they are all hand painted by very particular artists using very small brushes to make an entire set come to life. All that is awesome but I wanted to explore some very different doll concepts for a nesting doll set that I am not sure have been created (this could be a great idea for someone with an artistic flare who can bring a couple of these sets to life for us). I have been studying this concept for quite some time and am now ready to announce these ideas to the world – here we go.

My original and perhaps best idea is to develop a set of dolls around great TV families. Families that we grew up with, that are a little bit nostalgic but who would also be very recognizable are the types I am speaking about. I would start with the Brady Bunch and include the Mom and Dad, Alice and the 6 kids in one set. I think that dolls nesting set could become a top selling line and would serve to honor what is probably the number one family of that generation. The next family to be made into a doll set would be the Partridge family. I would include the business leader, Mr Kincaid, to be sure that there were enough dolls to make a complete set. The Clampett family of Beverly Hillbillies would be next and I would include the banker and Miss Hathaway to round out the set.

I would then progress to the best teams in major sports to have ever played. I would include a couple sets of Yankee teams with Babe Ruth, maybe another with the Boston Celtics when they were winning all those championships, and maybe another of Cincinnati’s best team ever the Big Red Machine, since many people in the Midwest would probably love a set and they are my favorite team of all-time.

I would also include a best players of all-time set where you might be able to take your favorite sport and have dolls that look like a set of a couple of years of hall-of-fame inductees. I think these would also sell well because a person could do a set for every sport, so there are lots of great groups to select from to start sets.

My next group to do would be custom to individual groups such as a team of corporate executives. This may sound a little corny but I think thatmost corporate leadership teams would buy a set made up of themselves, especially after they have had a good year. This one may be working from the fringe, but I think there are lots of potential nesting doll sets that are not being done at the moment that could be good for tine nesting doll industry and be fun for the people who are in the sets.

Buying Designer Clothing For Boys

Designer clothing nowadays is not only for adults. Most urban children, especially those who are above 10, are pretty much fond of designer clothing over common types of clothing, due to their simplicity. It is a universally known issue that trends change every 2 or 3 years, and this time around it is simplicity and uniqueness. And designer clothing is always designed to be simple, yet elegant and unique.

Fashion clothes for boys is not something exceptional. Boys nowadays, especially teenagers like designer clothing more because this clothing in fact portrays their style as they want to be exposed. It is not really about the brand of the designer clothing or the image it gives, according to many teenage boys, but it is instead more of elegance and looking nice.

Once it was an era of wearing shiny and glary clothes, but now if you were to do that, or even your small boy was to do that, everybody tends to turn and look at you oddly. It is a common thing among people nowadays to wear designer clothing, in which the colors are very ambient and simple, and the combinations of colors exposes the uniqueness of the wearer.

Contemporary Clothing Design

Designer clothing for boys online is not something new. Designer brands and dress patterns have always been offered in online stores so that people within the country and outside the country can buy the clothing through delivery services. Designer clothing for boys would not only refer to typical top and bottom, or shirt and pants, but also extends to other things such as sweaters, jackets, bands, neck-scarves, caps, skull-caps, and many more.

One of the most famous designer clothing for boys would include khakis. Khakis has been in fashion for more than 10 years, but only recently this trend caught up to be famous. And designer clothing like Abercrombie and Fitch, PDI, Giordano, Seed, Prada, Crocodile, Camel, and so on have taken the chances to produce exotic khakis that feel as light as feather and doesn’t hug your legs at all. Various colors of choice would include the typical khaki brown, beige, white, black, purple, gray, and many more.

Designer color clothing for boys of younger age is in fact one of the most beautiful ones these days. Most of them are more expensive that the adults’, but generally the clothing last longer than ours as well, due to the material used to make the clothing.

Enjoy The Art Of Making Soy Candles

Soy is nothing but hydrogenated soybean oil form which candles can be made. These candles are fast becoming very popular in the household, as they are environment friendly. Though soy candles are readily available in the market, they can also be made at home by combining soy wax with various fragrances and dyes. The procedure of making soy candles is relatively very simple and involves use of material that is readily available at home.

To start with, you just require a pound of soy wax which is readily available in the market, a mason jar and an ounce of fragrance oil along with the wax dye of your favorite color. The first step to make your first soy candle is to place this wax in a container and warm it slowly, applying medium heat. When the soy wax melts completely, take out the pan from the burner. Now put in the fragrance oil and blend the contents till the fragrance is absorbed by the wax. Also add wax dye to the container and follow instructions on its label so that your candles get the desired color.

It is time now to transfer the contents slowly to the container keeping the wick in the central position. You can easily do this by using a small stick or rod. To ensure smooth burning of your soy candle, use a larger diameter wick. Soon you will see that the wax is slowly solidifying. As soon as the melted wax solidifies, just cut off the excess wick and your candle is ready.

Just a couple of handy tips: When you buy fragrances from the market, it is important to ensure that that they are compatible with soy wax. The same holds true, with the dye you are using. It is necessary to have a dye that melts with the soy wax.

Varieties Of Sewing Fabric

Through the centuries, sewers of fashion design have often made do with what was available to them. Often this would be leftovers from a previous project or sacks that flour and grain came in. as the times dictated the availability of sewing fabric, ways of putting together items changed as well.

Ways To Work With Sewing Fabric

During the Victorian era, crazy quilts emerged as a new art form. Generic sewing dress fabric was often used in these unique quilts, but often velvets, silks and other luxurious types of sewing fabric were used as well. These quilts were lavished with decorations including embroidery and other adornments, and became an extension of the Victorian tendency to extensively decorate their environments.

With the westward expansion of the early settlers in the 1800s, sewing fabric usually depended upon whatever was readily available. Since many settlers were often unable to readily acquire sewing fabric for their clothes, once they did obtain fabric, it would be used until all of the scraps were gone. Quite often, the leftovers from dressmaking or clothes making would be recycled into patchwork quilts that each had their own unique characteristics since no two were ever the same.

Making do with what you had was often the way of life for many who lived during the 1930s and the Great Depression. Sewing fabric was usually in short supply during the depression, simply because not many people had the money to buy it. Clothes were a necessity, but food was often more important to families in the bigger scheme of things. Sewing fabric was often salvaged from the smallest sources. Feed bags were a good source of sewing fabric for many families during this time. Even though adult clothes could not often be made from the smallish pieces of sewing fabric, enterprising women fashioned the feed sacks into beautiful quilts that have their own unique characteristics.

Today, sewing dress patterns is readily available to most people around the world. The sheer variety of fabrics available is rather astonishing when you consider how small the selection was even 40 years ago. Silks, linens, cottons, wools, and synthetics of many varieties are readily available and fairly cheap. The internet has had an effect on the availability of fabric and the savvy fabric shopper can often find great deals on fabric online. However, there will never be any substitute for the ability to touch and physically interact with the fabric you are considering for your next project.

Cell Phone Holder Goes With My Mobile Case

I don’t know how it happened but I found a dollar in my cell phone holder this morning . It caught me off guard because I seriously have no clue how it got there . Not that I am complaining, I love finding money . The washer and dryer in my apartment building are coin-operated so I have to shell out a dollar and a quarter for every wash and a dollar for every drying cycle. I usually save up all my laundry until I have about ten loads so doing all of my laundry proves to be both a daunting and money draining task . Because my apartment is in a crappy building with crappy landlords, the washer and dryer are always down and sometimes ruin the clothes that I put into them . They are usually broken but sometimes it’s the coin acceptor that doesn’t work. The coins won’t go in it or they get stuck somewhere down the line . Sometimes they won’t even take coins, its like something is blocking the way . The scariest time I have had with washing clothes was when I put all my clothes in the washer, went upstairs to cook some food, and when I came back down to put my clothes in the dryer the washer was chasing me around the basement . It stopped inches away from running over my feet and then toppling over onto me. I guess I am the only one out of all the people that live here that actually cares if the washer and dryer work in proper order . Apparently the other tenants do not care if their clothes are clean or for that fact, that they are clean and appear in order. Honestly, I haven’t noticed them smelling bad or anything, but now I’m going to have to check. It could be that they take their laundry to another site or they do it in their bathtubs .
